Instructors from the IRU Academy-accredited Karwa Transportation Training and Development Center.

DOHA: Mowasalat, in partnership with the International Road Transport Union (IRU) Academy, conducted ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions on “safe loading” and “cargo securing.”

The training sessions, targeting Qatari instructors, were attended by 11 instructors from the IRU Academy-accredited Karwa Transportation Training and Development Center (KTTDC).

Mowasalat and the IRU had signed a memorandum of understanding for accrediting KTTDC as a regional centre for delivering transportation of dangerous goods – including chemicals and flammable materials- by road (ADR) training to all drivers.

Such accreditation is first of its kind in the Middle East and is related to certifying Mowasalat as an IRU Academy accredited training institute licensed to teach the IRU programmes, making KTTDC the first centre to deliver such highly specialised and advanced programmes

The sessions focused on transferring training methodology, presenting training material and sharing best practices through group activities, simulations and practical exercises.

The IRU Academy’s ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions aim to equip instructors with knowledge, skills and tools to deliver high-quality training to professional managers and drivers, benefiting road safety, transport efficiency and the community as a whole.
