DOHA: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) yesterday issued an announcement via Twitter, warning motorists who violate the traffic rules during marriage celebrations.
The MoI said it is going to be very strict to those who violate traffic regulations, creating traffic confusion and blocked roads which sometimes lead to accidents.
In its Twitter account the Ministry said: “Recently we note that some drivers are violating the traffic rules during marriage celebrations on the streets, which hinders traffic flow and block streets, sometimes leading to traffic accidents. Such practices are clear violations of traffic law. Therefore the Traffic Department calls upon all drivers and street users to comply with traffic rules and regulations. The MoI will enforce the rules and law strictly regarding this issue.” The Peninsula
