DOHA: Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading communications company, has unveiled a new plan yesterday, offering customers cheaper calls and SMS to Bangladesh for 20 dirhams per minute or message.
With more than 130,000 Bangladeshi migrant workers in Qatar, the new scheme provides major savings for expatriate workers.
The new plan, Hala Bangladesh Key, provides a permanent price discount who “Opt-In” to an automatically renewed pack for QR2 per week. To subscribe, Hala customers need to SMS ‘BAN’ to 121.
Ooredoo also offers a host of international call saving options, including the Hala India Pack, which enables customers to call India for only 19 dirhams per minute, the best rate in Qatar.
The Hala International Saver Key enables customers to unlock the international call rate of 60 dirhams per minute and 45 dirhams per SMS to 121 countries around the world.
Shahry customers can also enjoy the International Key for Shahry Packs, which turns all local allowances for calls, SMS/MMS into international traffic.
