Doha: Defending champions Al Sadd chances of retaining the Qatar Stars League (QSL) title suffered a jolt as they lost 2-1 to Umm Salal here yesterday.
In the other matches yesterday, league leaders Lekhwiya trounced Al Khor 3-1, while Al Ahli won a nine-goal thriller 6-3 against Al Arabi.
Qatar SC, Eljaish, Al Sailiya and Wakra all won their respective matches yesterday.
Lekhwiya continue to head the standings with 37 points.
