CAIRO: Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack near one of Afghanistan's main military academies in the capital, Kabul, on Monday, according to the militant group's Amaq news agency.

At least four militants attacked an army outpost near the military academy and at least one soldier was killed and three wounded, a defence ministry official said.
