The Peninsula and its sister newspaper Al Sharq marked Earth Hour yesterday by switching off external lights on their premises on D-Ring Road from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. Several companies, ministries and government departments, including Kahramaa, the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning and Qatar Tourism Authority, also joined the global initiative to raise awareness about climate change.
