Doha: Represented by the Family Empowerment Department, the Ministry of Social Development and Family participated in the exhibition of national productive projects ‘From the Homeland’ in the IKBIS Beach Volleyball tournament.
In its first edition, it was held in Aspire Park, with the participation of 12 teams, during the period from March 26 to early April.
This participation aims to provide an opportunity for owners of national production projects to market and promote their various products, through the unlimited support of the Ministry. It also seeks to highlight their projects in strategic locations, festivals and events held by the state, in addition to contributing to the development of exhibitors’ commercial skills in a professional manner and in several locations under a marketing platform bearing the slogan “From the Homeland” and creating a diverse environment that seeks to meet the needs of all members of society.
The Ministry’s Family Empowerment Department is keen on participating in productive projects in programs and events. This is also within the framework of the Ministry’s continuous support to improve the local production sector and small and micro enterprises, and its firm vision that productive projects can play a major role in supporting the local economy.
For her part, Fatima Al Nuaimi, Acting Director of the Family Empowerment Department, stated: “The participation of national productive projects ‘From the Homeland’ continues in local events throughout the year. These projects aim to bring together male and female entrepreneurs and owners of small and emerging companies to market their products. As a result of the above, it gives opportunities for the community, companies, and business owners to get acquainted with the products of ‘From the Homeland’ directly. The Ministry of Social Development attaches great importance to supporting and adopting national productive projects, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the sustainable development goals.
Al Nuaimi also emphasised that the ‘From the Homeland’ initiative aimed since its inception to consolidate the culture of sustainability. It focused on transforming individuals from consumption to production and developing the national productive projects system to enhance the efficiency of entrepreneurs, raise their productivity, develop their skills, and empower entrepreneurs through training and qualification.
Moreover, it provides sales outlets for them, such as sales opportunities in exhibitions and various events, especially since Aspire Park is one of the most important recreational facilities, as it organises many events throughout the year that attract thousands to practice physical activity in an atmosphere full of entertainment and enthusiasm, as the marketing outlets form a meaningful community partnership with the various state facilities.
