•     There are increasing complaints about stray animals from many parts of the country, and people are demanding a solution. The animals alarm drivers when they suddenly cross roads, sometimes leading to accidents.
•     Many parents and teachers are wondering about the fate of research, the findings of which were presented by students at Education Forum 2014 last week. They want to know if the Supreme Education Council and other government bodies will utilise the research and innovation of the students.
•     Some people have demanded that the authorities ensure the safety of those crossing the road from Lulu Center to Hamad General Hospital by building a subway or pedestrian bridge. Vehicles move fast on the road as drivers seek to cross a nearby intersection when the traffic lights are green, and this increases the risk to pedestrians.
•     People have urged the authorities to organise an awareness campaign for expatriates and citizens to cooperate with the authorities and inform them about shops in residential areas, which pose a danger to people, especially in summer, as they store flammable materials.
•     The authorities have been urged to provide areas far from Doha with commercial centres and private health service providers, so that people in these areas do not have to come to the capital.
•     There is talk on social networking sites about the decision by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning to make public the names of eateries violating health rules. People say the ministry has begun naming the outlets on its website.
