Doha: Qatar Stars League (QSL) fan Michael Fermor has won the QSL and Qatar Airways competition, it was announced here yesterday.
In February 2014, the QSL and Qatar Airways launched a competition for one lucky fan to win two Qatar Airways flights and two VIP match tickets to a FC Barcelona match.
The winner was drawn last week and QSL fan Michael Fermor was chosen at random to receive the prize.
Thanks to the QSL Football Rewards programme and Qatar Airways, the official airline partner of the QSL, Michael will get to watch FC Barcelona take on Getafe in Spain on May 3.
Michael has been a registered Football Rewards member since September 2013 and was very pleased to receive the prize. He said: “I am delighted to receive this prize and I am really looking forward to my trip to Barcelona!”
The QR20 riyal ticket Michael purchased online for the Al Arabi vs Al Sadd match on March 8, has turned into a once in a lifetime trip to see one of the greatest teams in one of the most historic stadiums.
