Following directives of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and out of its keenness to provide aid to flood-affected countries, Qatar yesterday sent a second consignment of aid for Balkan victims. A cargo plane for Serbia carried 47 tonnes of foodstuff, medical supplies, tents and blankets, sent by the search and rescue team of Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). On Tuesday, Qatar despatched 42 tonnes of aid in three planes.
