Doha: Northwesterly fresh to strong wind, locally called Al Bawarih, is expected to return affecting most areas of the country especially during daytime starting from Monday, May 31, until the end of the week.
Qatar Meteorology Department stated this in a tweet adding that the wind speed is expected to range between 12-22 KT gusting to 30 KT at times, during daytime causing blowing dust and low visibility below 3km in some areas.
In addition, wave height expected to rise ranging between 5-7ft reaching 9ft at times in some areas.
The weather will be generally hot during daytime with slight dust to blowing dust especially in open areas. Maximum temperatures expected to range between 37-46 degree Celsius and the minimum between 24-33 degree Celsius in various regions of the country.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged residents to be cautious, avoid going to sea and direct sunlight and to follow latest updates through its official social media accounts.
