Incheon: The Qatari national indoor football team and the Qatari video games team will participate in the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games which began yesterday in this South Korean city.
The Qatari indoor team will face Afghanistan in its first game. The latter has already played one match and lost 2-10 to Uzbekistan. There are eight groups in the competition, the top team of each group qualifies to the next stage. Qatar plays in Group G.
As for the video game team, Qatar has two players who will compete in the Fifa 13 tournament and a Need for Speed tournament. Qatar won bronze in the second edition of the games.
Some 97 players from 13 countries will compete in this year’s edition. The competition continues until July 7.
