Doha, Qatar The State of Qatar participated in the Extraordinary Joint Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Commercial Cooperation Committee and Industrial Cooperation Committee, held yesterday, via videoconference.
Qatar’s delegation was headed by H E Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting was attended by Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC member states, along with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
During the meeting, the GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry discussed the items on the agenda, with particular emphasis on the importance of establishing strategic storage zones and developing an integrated GCC system for food security and other essential supplies. The ministers also adopted the appropriate decisions and recommendations on these matters.
