DUBAI: Passenger traffic through Dubai International Airport rose 17.5 percent from a year earlier to 5.54 million people in June, aided by the Emirates airline's tie-up with Qantas and the launch of the Australian carrier's flights into Dubai.
In the first half of this year, passenger traffic climbed 16.9 percent to 32.66 million people, airport authorities said on Monday.
Freight volume through the airport rose 3.6 percent in June to 202,077 tonnes, and gained 10.2 percent to 1.20 million tonnes during the first half. (Reuters)
