Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in telephone calls yesterday exchanged Eid greetings with the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Presidents Abdullah Gul (Turkey), Mohamed Moncef Marzouki (Tunisia), Abdelaziz Bouteflika (Algeria), Abdel Fattah Al Sisi (Egypt) and Mahmoud Abbas (Palestine) and the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
DOHA: The Ministry of Interior will hold an Eid extravaganza this evening at Al Khor Sports Club for which entry is free. The event will feature musical performances in different languages, including Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam and Nepalese. Cultural shows will also be held. Surprise gifts will be provided for people through raffle coupons. The event, for people living or working in various companies in the area, starts at 5pm and runs until 10pm.
