DOHA: Interior ceiling of a popular supermarket located along the Salwa Road partially collapsed today, according to information posted on the official twitter handle of the Ministry of Interior.
Civil Defence officials have successfully evacuated all the people inside the shopping centre, and no serious injuries or deaths were reported so far.
However, according to a police officer quoted by an online news portal, some 14 people were injured. But an employee of the store who received injuries in his arm said there were seven people, including two children, got injured.
According to Al Sharq (online edition) the supermarket has recently completed the expansion and maintenance works.
