The used car market in the Industrial Area (Street Number 10) is becoming quite popular with both the sellers and buyers, as deals are struck quite quickly due to facilities like technical inspection and garages to provide repair cost estimates located close-by. While buyers say they have the option of looking at a number of vehicles to pick and choose from, sellers point out they also find it quite convenient to offload as there is no dearth of takers. The market is crowded particularly on Thursdays and Fridays and a highlight these days is the large presence of used car buyers from Saudi Arabia, many of whom, according to market sources, prefer to take vehicles home to sell at higher prices. Of late, an increasing number of citizens is also seen in the market which has for long been a domain of expatriates. Most nationals are, however, sellers as they like to change cars quite frequently.
