NHRC chief meets FIDH president

Doha: Chairman of Qatar National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Dr Ali Ben Smaikh Al Marry yesterday met the president of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH)  Karime Lahidji.

Talks during the meeting dealt with enhancing ties and the exchange of expertise and joint experiences between the two sides. 

FIDH is a non-governmental federation for human rights organisations. Founded in 1922, FIDH is the oldest international human rights organisation worldwide and today brings together 178 member organisations in over 100 countries. FIDH is nonpartisan, nonsectarian, and independent of any government.
