DOHA: Sasol, the international integrated chemicals and energy company that leverages technologies and expertise of about 30,400 people working in 36 countries, showcased a wide range of special products and surfactants for the application in the Oil and Gas Market at the Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition  (ATCE) in Dubai from September 26 to 28, organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Sasol’s stand highlighted the company’s expertise in the oil and gas industry, in particular the uses of the performance chemicals in the Drilling, Production Chemicals area and for the chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery Process.
Sasol is one of the 250 exhibitors at the ATCE 2016 Exhibition, reaching over thousands of industry professionals. The exhibition and conference is held on a yearly basis in different locations around the world, and took place in the Middle East for the first time in the event’s 92-year history. ATCE promotes a range of high-value product streams, including liquid fuels and chemicals but focusing on the supply of specialized products and high-volume of raw materials for Oilfield and EOR applications.
Sasol’s highest caliber experts coming from Europe, North-America and the UAE met with visitors and customers to shed light on the product portfolio of the company’s performance chemicals which range from alcohols, surfactants, hydrogenated base-oils, inorganic viscosity modifiers, solvents, and waxes at the company’s facilities around the world. Sasol products are in significant cases also specifically designed to meet requirements for applications in different regions.
Two specialised and very well accepted presentations were presented by Sasol’s R&D at the Conference – one about the use of surfactants for drill cutting cleaning, the other about the use in Enhanced Oil Recovery application.
