DOHA: The pleasant weather the country has been experiencing since the beginning of Eid holidays could be shortly disrupted, with the Meteorology Department forecasting strong winds and thunderstorm today.
There are chances of scattered rains today and thunderstorm at times, the Department said yesterday. The day would remain “partly cloudy to cloudy”.
The northwesterly to northeasterly winds are expected to blow at speeds ranging from five knots to 15 knots reaching 25 knots inshore, accompanied by rain, said the Department. The wind speed offshore would range from 10 knots to 25 knots.
Temperature in Doha would hover between 27 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius.
