ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Police on Tuesday arrested at least 91 suspects during a search operation in Peshawar.
Officials said police during their crackdown conducted house-to-house search in Bhana Mandi area and raided criminals’ dens in different parts of Peshawar neighboring tribal agencies where Pakistan army has been carrying out an offensive against militants loyal to Taliban and al Qaida.
Police arrested 91 suspects, claiming that firearms, including Kalashnikovs, repeaters, G3 rifles, pistols and hundreds of bullets were recovered from them.
Peshawar is worst-hit by terrorism over the past two months including bombings in Qissa Khawani Bazar and at a church that left nearly 150 people dead. (QNA)
