DOHA: Oman's Ambassador in Qatar Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Wahaibi said Tuesday that the visit of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad to the Sultanate of Oman came at an important time, due to the delicate conditions facing the region.
Al Wahaibi told Qatar News Agency (QNA) today that the visit of HH the Emir, which aimed to enhance bilateral relations, was a historic one.
The ambassador added that the current conditions demanded a stronger cooperation between GCC countries, particularly ahead of the GCC summit, which makes the visit of HH the Emir all the more important.
He also expressed the appreciation and respect the Sultanate of Oman has for HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He added that the strong relationship between Sultan Qaboos bin Said and HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will facilitate strengthening bilateral relations.
He stressed as well that the wisdom of the leaders of Qatar and Oman will guarantee that such meetings will yield positive results that enhance the integration between GCC countries. (QNA)
