DOHA: Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCU-Qatar) will host an institution-wide open house 'Zwara' on November 2.
The event to be held from 3 to 6pm is open to the public, the university said Tuesday.
'Zwara', the Arabic (Khaleeji) word for a home visit and get-together, is to encourage the community to get familiar with VCUQatar, the university programmes, events and new developments.
The university has planned activities for children, families and prospective students including games, workshops, demonstrations, campus tours and exhibitions.
The open house will offer prospective undergraduate and graduate students from high schools and universities from across the region the opportunity to meet current students and faculty, and learn about the integrative experiences unique to the university's programmes. (QNA)
