Doha: Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar Md. Jashim Uddin appreciated the exemplary deed of Mohammad Yasin, a Bangladeshi talabat rider who recently earned huge admiration for assisting a helpless man in a wheelchair cross the road.

Yasin parked his delivery bike aside on the busy road when he saw a man helplessly trying to cross the street. He then pushed the wheelchair and helped him cross the road safely.

A passerby took a video shot of this incident and shared it on social media, which instantly went viral. The Qatari authority has awarded Yasin for displaying his civic responsibility and humanitarian gesture.

Ambassador Uddin handed over a crest to Yasin at the Embassy of Bangladesh recently. During the meeting with the ambassador, Yasin said that he helped the man spontaneously out of his civic sense and the sense of helping a fellow human being, not expecting any reward.

He also said that he learned this value from the teachings of his parents.

The Ambassador urged Bangladeshi nationals to be inspired by Yasin and help project a positive image of Bangladesh in Qatar.
