Doha: On his 33rd death anniversary, the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) paid a musical tribute to the legendary Indian playback singer Kishore Kumar.
His evergreen songs like ‘O Mere Dil Ke Chain,’ ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas,’ ‘Mere Nayna Sawan Bhadon,’ ‘Dekha Ek Khab To Ye silsile,’ ‘Choo Kar Mere Man Ko,’ and Jindagi Ka Safar’ were sung during the programme which was viewed live by thousands worldwide on Facebook.
Vinod V Nair sang the famous songs of the late award-winning singer along with CA Rajesh N Singh and Young singer Navami Suresh amid narration of the life story of Kishore Kumar by Vinod V Nair.
The singers were felicitated by the managing committee members of the ICC. The singers enthralled the audience with their singing, and the Indian community in Qatar appreciated the programme.
Abhas Kumar Ganguly, better known by his stage name Kishore Kumar was an Indian playback singer, actor, music director, lyricist, writer, director, producer, and screenwriter. He had won 8 Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and holds the record for winning the most Filmfare Awards in that category.
