Doha, Qatar: To coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Aamal Company held a breast cancer awareness session in collaboration with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS).
Breast cancer is today the most common cancer among the female population in Qatar, and despite significant advances in the field of oncology, remains a prevalent health risk for Qatari women.
Recognising the critical benefits of early detection and treatment in mitigating the health impacts of breast cancer, Aamal has for the 4th year running organised this awareness session to highlight the importance of regular screening.
The session was attended by a number of female employees from Aamal and its subsidiaries, who received detailed presentations from representatives of the Qatar Cancer Society as well as Al Jameel Medical Center.
This initiative reflects the Company’s ongoing commitment to supporting community health and raising awareness on important health issues, amongst both its employees and wider community. Aamal Company plays a pivotal role in supporting well-being through its various initiatives aimed at promoting health awareness and fostering a balanced and sustainable lifestyle.
Earlier this year, the company organised and supported a number of sports and health activities, most notably the second edition of “Aamal Ride” in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Qatar Cyclists Center, which attracted over 800 participants, both professional and amateur cyclists, promoting community well-being and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
This year, Aamal also extended its partnership with the Qatar Cancer Society for the fifth consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the Society’s efforts and awareness initiatives aimed at educating the community about cancer, its causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment, in addition to emphasising the importance of early detection.
