Doha: Aster Medical Centre, a division of DM Healthcare, the leading healthcare conglomerate in the Middle East and India, has expanded its scope of offerings in Qatar. The group has set up full-fledged gastroenterology, cardiology, urology, and neurology departments at its medical centre in Al Hilal, Doha. The new departments are geared up to offer advanced medical services related to the respective specialist departments.
Taking the route of diverse disciplines, Aster intends to add on many more specialty departments to its portfolio. The setting up of the gastroenterology, cardiology, urology and neurology department is its first step towards this goal.
As part of this expansion, Aster has appointed a highly-experienced specialist gastroenterologist, Dr Mathew V Kurien, MD, DM (Digestive and Liver Speciality), to its panel of experts. Dr Kurien has over 15 years of experience in the field of gastroenterology. The cardiology division would be headed by the Dr Raveendran P, MBBS, MD, DNB (Cardiology). His expertise lies in the field of cardiovascular diseases and vascular medicines.
Aster has also expanded its panel of experts by the value addition of a highly experienced specialist urologist Dr Raju Abraham, MBBS, MS, Mch (Genito Urinary Surgery). Dr Abraham has over 25 years of experience as an urologist.
Neurology division is headed by Dr Harsha Bhatia, MBBS, MD, DNB (Neurology). Dr Bhatia is a highly experienced specialist neurologist with over 11 years of experience. She is also well trained in EEG, NCS and EMG.
