Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
They discussed bilateral relations, regional and international issues of common interest and the GCC progress and both countries’ keenness to promote joint GCC action to contribute to strengthening unity and cooperation, deepen ties between member states and achieve progress and prosperity for its peoples.

H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani were also present.
The UAE side was represented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of General Sheikh Mohammed and his delegation. The Deputy Emir, the Emir’s Personal Representative and the Premier were also present.
At Hamad International Airport, the Emir led well-wishers to welcome General Sheikh Mohammed and his delegation who arrived on a fraternal visit. The Deputy Emir, the Emir’s Personal Representative and the Premier were present.
Later, General Sheikh Mohammed and his delegation left Doha. The Emir, the Deputy Emir, the Emir’s Personal Representative, the Premier and other officials bid them farewell at the airport.
