Ooredoo signs MoU with Hamad Port

Hamad Port Master’s System Integration Consultant and Ooredoo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see Ooredoo provide telecom services including ICT implementation. The New Port Project (NPP) megaproject represents QAR 27 Billion spread across 28.5 square kilometre area.
The agreement was witnessed at a ceremony in Ooredoo HQ1 dated 08th November 2016 by Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al-Thani, Chief New Business Officer, Ooredoo Qatar and Maisar Jamil El-Qutami, Project Executive Director, New Port Project. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from New Port Project, Qatar Ports Management, Lysys and Ooredoo, including Capt. Abdulla Al-Khanji, CEO, Qatar Ports Management and General Supervisor – New Port Project,  Waleed Al Sayed, Chief Executive Officer, Ooredoo Qatar and George Philippakopoulos, Project Manager, Lysys.
To deliver the comprehensive infrastructure framework required, Ooredoo will work closely with leading engineering group Lysys, to plan, install and commission key solutions, connectivity links to Hamad Port and Cloud Hosted Collaboration Services.
Services for Hamad Port will be supported by Ooredoo’s state-of-the-art Qatar Data Centre facility.
