DOHA: The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) and the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning are planning to set up a joint task force to monitor and prevent the spread of infectious diseases through beauty salons, barber shops and food outlets.
A series of training sessions have been planned in this context, to raise health awareness among people working with such facilities, a local Arabic daily reported on Thursday. The four-month training sessions will be held in all municipalities.
Lack of hygiene in eateries can cause a spread of contagious diseases, while barber shops and beauty salons pose a bigger threat of infection through contact with blood.
