Doha: Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Secretary-General, Qatar Olympic Committee, (QOC) visited the Mal Lawal Biennale exhibition at Doha Exhibition Centre.
The second edition of the expo runs until February-end.
The visit came as appreciation of Qatar Museums’ role in promoting arts, connecting members of the community with their past and consolidating relations between the GCC states through the exhibition, which includes exhibits from private collections of Qatari and Gulf citizens.
Sheikh Saoud praised the exhibits which combine tradition and modernity and revive memories of cultural, historical and societal legacies for the community.
He thanked Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums Board of Trustees, for her efforts to preserve the culture and heritage of Qatar and the Gulf.
