MOSCOW - Russia has suddenly brought forward the date of top anti-Kremlin figure Alexei Navalny's verdict in his fraud trial after thousands of his supporters pledged to take to the streets next month, his lawyers said on Monday.
"They called us from the court and said that the date of announcing the verdict had been rescheduled for 9 am tomorrow," Navalny's lawyer Olga Mikhailova told AFP. The verdict had previously been expected on January 15.
