DOHA: Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Industry and the Arab Engineers Union will organise ‘Electrical Power and Water Desalination in the Arab World Conference’ on February 22 next year at St Regis Hotel, Doha.
Addressing media persons yesterday, Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Chairman of the conference said that over the two days of the conference, participants will discuss experience, new technologies and lessons learned over the years in electrical power and water desalination sector. The conference will also discuss future plans and developments in Arab world, he added. Abdulla Al Baker, Board Member of QSE said that the conference aims to share ideas and visions between unions and engineering associations in Arab countries.
Papers related to production and distribution of electric power and fresh water will also be discussed in the conference. The event will be sponsored by Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Electricity and Water Company. Officials of Federation of Arab Engineers, Kahramaa, were also present in the press conference.
