Ministry continues round the clock work to deal with rain

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality’s joint rainfall emergency committee has intensified work to clear rainwater. 

Emergency teams in all municipalities continue to work non-stop, round the clock, from Monday afternoon until Tuesday evening.

As many as 226 emergency teams participated in clearing accumulated water, while 127 machinery, equipment and pumps were used during these operations. 

In addition, the ministry’s unified call centre dealt with 167 reports of waterlogging.

The highest level of the cumulative volume of rain reached 15.1mm, while the lowest was 1.1mm. The cleaning work resumed after clearing rainwater on the main roads and streets in various regions of the country.
