Moscow: Spokesman of the Russian Presidency (Kremlin) Dmitry Peskov announced on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss bilateral relations and regional issues with Chinese President Xi Jinping via a closed video conference on Friday.

Speaking to the journalists, Peskov said that preparation is being made to hold this bilateral meeting on Friday morning via a closed video conferencing between the presidents of the two states, pointing out that the first statements of the two presidents will be public, and will subsequently continue behind closed doors.

He added that the talks will primarily address the Russian-Chinese bilateral relations in light of the accelerating growth of trade exchange, in addition to the most critical regional problems.
