Success in ‘Education for All’ highlighted

Sharm El Sheikh: The Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi hailed the regional conference of Arab countries on education post-2015 which ended yesterday in Sharm El Sheikh.
He praised the organisers for the quality of preparations that resulted in the success of the forum and recommendations as it discussed ways of achieving quality and sustainable education.
The Minister was speaking at the closing ceremony of the three-day forum, organised by Unesco and the Egyptian Ministry of Education. He said the event featured workshops and roundtables on educational issues, including the best practices and trends in the presence of Arab and international experts.
He said Qatar, thanks to directives of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, made giant steps to achieve what it pledged to the international community and Unesco to implement Dakar Framework for Action in 2000. Qatar has achieved high standards of the six objectives of Education For All, in line with its National Vision 2030 and education and training strategies.QNA
