Visitors at the Qafco Qatar Flower and Vegetable Show 2013 yesterday witnessed ice, butter, watermelons and pumpkins being expertly chiselled into eye-catching sculptures.
This year’s show had an increased number of participants and competitors, including amateurs, professionals, hotels and schools.
Competitions in various categories were a main attraction as the ancient Thai tradition of vegetable and fruit carving was demonstrated live to visitors.
The annual event showcases Qafco’s care for aesthetics, appreciation, environmental awareness and its ‘green’ policies.
