Cirque Eloize, the sister company of world-renowned Canadian acrobatic troupe Cirque Du Soleil is performing for the very first time in Doha this April. A press conference for Cirque Eloize iD’s series of performances in Doha took place at the Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel.
Cirque Éloize iD artists performed some electrifying stunts on the hotel helipad, 50 stories above the streets of Doha.  The path-breaking mix of circus arts and urban dance is directed by Jeannot Painchaud. iD is a fast-paced blend of hip-hop, street dance and circus arts using an urban backdrop as its tarmac. The show will be presented at Qatar National Convention Center from April 2 to 5.
A cast of 14 performers and acrobats will have the audience moving in their seats with the spectacular rock and electronic-inspired soundtrack created by composers Jean-Phi Goncalves and Alex McMahon. The acrobats of iD promise to inspire the young and the old with their astonishing feats.
Canada’s ambassador to Qatar, Andre Dubois, who was present at the press conference, commented on the show, saying: “We are very pleased to welcome Cirque Eloize to Doha and to share this dynamic and modern expression of Canadian culture with all of Qatar.”
Cirque Eloize iD is being presented by Qatar Tourism Authority and has been brought to Doha by SDI Marketing, which has previously brought Cirque Du Soleil’s Saltimbco and Dralion to Qatar.
