Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha is currently highlighting the ultra-luxury car maker’s bespoke programme through showcasing three special-edition Ghost vehicles at its showroom at The Pearl-Qatar.
The three masterpieces of Rolls-Royce engineering — the ‘1001 Nights’, ‘Alpine Trial Centenary’ and ‘Black & White’ models — were especially created through the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Programme at the home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England.
Inspired by one of the region’s most famous works of literature — the epic tales told by Scheherazade to Shahryar — the 1001 Nights Ghost is as captivating as its storied inspiration. Its complementary shades, inspired by the warm colour palette of dusk and dawn, serve as the perfect backdrop for a hand-painted coachline that features the Arabic words One Thousand and One Nights in an elaborate design that elegantly frames the car’s door handles.
Sitting proudly alongside the ‘1001 Nights’ at the showroom is the ‘Alpine Trial Centenary’, which pays homage to the original Rolls-Royce ‘Radley Car’ – the Silver Ghost Rolls-Royce which completed a grueling 1,800 journey through the Austrian Alps over 100 years ago to become known as ‘The Best Car in the World’. Of only 35 vehicles that were built globally, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha house an example of this most exclusive and refined vehicle.
The Alpine Trail’s exterior paint hue takes close inspiration from the legendary 1913 vehicle, while the original car’s distinct black grille and wheels are replicated on the model — the first time a painted grille has adorned a contemporary Rolls-Royce motor car. A hand-painted coachline references the four Rolls-Royce that took part in the 1913 rally, while the headlining colour -matched to the hood of the original Radley Car - are the finishing touches on this beautiful homage.
Complementing the exquisite pair of vehicles is the special edition ‘Black & White’ Ghost. Available to discerning buyers with a classic black or white exterior, the ‘Black & While’ Ghost features unique and lightweight carbon-fibre fittings throughout the interior, marking the first time the ultra-luxury carmaker has featured such fittings within a Rolls-Royce.
Commenting on the collection of special-edition vehicles on display, Mohamed Kandeel, General Manager at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha, said: “The ‘1001 Nights’, ‘Alpine Trial Centenary’ and ‘Black & White’ Ghost models showcase not only the finesse of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Programme, but also the unparalleled elegance and creativity available to local buyers. As illustrated by these three exceptional, special-edition vehicles, our clients are able to take inspiration from their personal and professional lives to create a vehicle that truly befits their sophistication.”
