DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area Tuesday adding 48.79 points (or 0.57percent) to advance to 8,677.10 points from 8,628.31 Monday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 9,154,904 from 8,064,255 on Monday, and the value of shares increased to QR286,222,293.71 from QR263,930,801.35 Monday.
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 1.90 percent to QR172.00, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 0.78 percent to QR65.00, Qatar Telecom gained 1.50 percent to QR115.00 and Vodafone Qatar up by 2.19 percent to Q9.32.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.22 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index lost 0.17 points.
The industrial sector was added 1.43 points while insurance sector gained 1.03 points. (QNA)
