Qatar Leadership Centre honours 67 Qataris completing programmes

DOHA: Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) honoured 67 outstanding Qataris who have completed its first two customised leadership programmes at a ceremony attended by a number of ministers, government officials, leading executives and special guests.
HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the QLC Board of Directors, addressed the participants from the Current and Future Leaders Program and the Executive Leaders Program, “This celebration symbolises an important accomplishment in the leadership development of 67 Qataris who are honoured today for supporting Qatar’s development goals by being part of the national initiative for leadership excellence.”
She added, “In line with the vision of The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar Leadership Centre seeks to be a hub for excellence in leadership development and knowledge generation to support the human, social, economic and environmental pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Qatar Leadership Centre is committed to achieving the 2030 national development strategy by seeking to advance and nurture Qatar’s leadership talent pool, and qualify current and future leaders to help them achieve their full potential and support the future development plans of Qatar.
H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar, and Vice Chairman of the QLC Board of Directors, said, “The development of leadership skills has become inseparable from excellence and success. Building local leadership capacity will serve the country by providing a strong foundation for the next generation. And that is the mission of the Qatar Leadership Centre.”
H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali Al Thani, Board Member and Managing Director of QLC, said, “We are honoured that the Emir received Qatar Leadership Centre’s participants in advance of our ceremony, and that this ceremony is held under the auspices of H E Sheikha 
Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the QLC Board of Directors.” He added, “This honouring ceremony’s sole purpose is to motivate the participants to harness all the lessons learned from the Centre’s programmes to advance Qatar’s progress and development goals. We are confident that they will spare no effort to achieve their objectives.”
QLC programmes combine theoretical and practical instruction to enhance the leadership and management skills of Qatari men and women.
The Peninsula
