Qatar’s Alsaid wins bronze at Asian Weightlifting Championships

Fares Ibrahim Alsaid (right), who won the bronze medal in the men’s 85kg event at the 46th Asian Men’s Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, along with the other medal winners. The Qatari lifted a total of 341kg (150kg - Snatch and 196kg – Clean and jerk) on Thursday to bag his medal.
Denis Ulanov of Kazakhstan won the gold medal when he lifted a total of 373kg while Iran’s Ayoub Mousavi who lifted a total weight of 356kg, won the silver medal.
