ISLAMABAD: Decisions with regard to the selection of members of a smart cabinet along with portfolios and the guidelines on which the third time prime minister-designate, Mian Nawaz Sharif would start working from June 6, is kept to the chest by a few top notch leaders and whatever is leaked to the media is mere guess work, said a senior PML-N leader on Thursday.
He said that the major emphasis of the PML-N leadership this time is on keeping the size of administration too small.
This could be partially due to pressure of the movement by PTI Chairman Imran Khan whose party promised to keep the size of federal cabinet only to 17 to 18 ministers.
A PML-N source on condition of anonymity said, “Believe me, only three to four persons including Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar and may be Chaudhry Nisar Ali khan to some extent, know about complete list of the cabinet ministers and their possible portfolios.”
He said he did not believe the media leaks like the prime minister would keep ministries of defence and foreign affairs with him had any ground.
