DOHA: The Board of Directors of United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pear-Qatar, yesterday convened a meeting to discuss the end of the secondment period of Badr Al Meer, Acting CEO of UDC.
In a press statement, UDC said that the company’s board has approved Al Meer’s request to conclude his mandate as UDC’s Acting CEO effective from June 1.
It also said that Turki Al Khater, Chairman, will temporarily undertake the duties of Managing Director, until a permanent CEO is appointed.
In line with these decisions, Al Meer sent a farewell letter to all UDC staff thanking them for their cooperation during his tenure and announcing his plans to return to his former position within Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport.
The Board of Directors has in turn expressed appreciation.
