Beirut: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia praised the efforts of Lebanese authorities in freeing the Saudi citizen who was abducted by unknown individuals two days ago.

During a meeting with the Lebanese Interior Minister of the Caretaker Government Bassam Mawlawi, the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari expressed gratitude for the successful rescue of the Saudi citizen and extended appreciation to the Lebanese army command and all security agencies involved.

The Ambassador said that under Mawlawi's supervision, the liberation operation was carried out swiftly and professionally. Bukhari confirmed that the Saudi citizen had undergone medical tests and was in good health.

For his part, Mawlawi emphasized that the kidnapping received significant attention and close monitoring from all Lebanese security and military agencies, who meticulously followed up on all details of the incident.

The Lebanese Interior Minister revealed that the Lebanese security authorities had arrested nine suspects involved in the abduction, and the independent Lebanese judiciary would investigate the crime.

Mawlawi emphasized the strength of relations between the two countries.

The Lebanese army announced in a statement earlier today the rescue of the kidnapped Saudi citizen, following the Lebanese Armed Forces conducting extensive searches in the northern Beqaa area, extending up to the Lebanese-Syrian borders.
