Doha, Qatar: Qatar is continuing its efforts to strengthen national cybersecurity capabilities through specialised training programmes aimed at enhancing expertise in data protection, information assurance, and cyber governance.
As part of these efforts, a new training course focused on the implementation of the National Data Classification Policy and the National Information Assurance Standard was recently organised to support the development of cybersecurity competencies across institutions.
The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), represented by its National Cyber Strategies and Policies Department, organised a specialised training course focused on the implementation of the National Data Classification Policy and the National Information Assurance Standard.
The course marks the tenth training programme delivered by the department this year as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen knowledge and build national competencies in the field of cybersecurity.
The training sessions focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of data classification in accordance with the National Data Classification Policy V3.0, while also providing guidance on securing information assets through the National Information Assurance Standard V2.1.
Participants were introduced to practical and streamlined methodologies for developing, implementing, and maintaining information security management processes and systems. The course highlighted best practices aligned with the requirements of both the National Information Assurance Standard V2.1 and the National Data Classification Policy V3.0.
The initiative reflects NCSA’s continued commitment to promoting robust cybersecurity practices and supporting organisations across Qatar in strengthening information assurance and data governance frameworks.
