Two cops among six killed in Karachi

Karachi: Six people, including two policemen, lost their lives in ongoing violence and firing incidents across Karachi, Pakistan’s Geo News reported yesterday.

According to police, a cop was gunned down in Gurumandir area of Karachi when unknown gunmen opened fire. The deceased was the resident of Patel Para and was deployed in Ferozabad police station.

He was on his way to work when he was targeted and killed by the armed culprits.

Firing incidents also took place in Landhi and Muzaffarabad Colony where another policeman lost his life.

Two bodies in gunny bags were also found from a garbage can in Baldia Town no 2 area who were kidnapped and shot to death later.

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities and identification.

Rescue sources informed that unknown armed attackers killed a man on Abul Hassan Isfahani Road while another was killed in Maripur area.
