Khartoum: Chairman of the Office for Follow up of Peace in Darfur Dr Amin Hassan Omer has refused decisively any talk about new forums for Darfur negotiations, reiterating the government’s adherence to the Doha Document for Peace in Sudan on the grounds that it is a document for all the people of Darfur, SUNA reported

Following his meeting with the European Union envoy to Sudan on Wednesday, Rosalind Marsland and Chairman of the UNAMID, Mohamed bin Chambas, Dr Amin Hassan Omer said that the government welcomes to dialogue on the major issues of Sudan through a comprehensive constitutional dialogue conference attended by all the political forces, the civil society organisations and the armed movements.

Dr Omer has called on the international community to put pressure on the armed movements to release the abducted persons, describing the kidnappings were committed to undermine the peace process in Darfur region. QNA
