DOHA: Lusail Real Estate Development Company hosted a seminar last week to brief contracting and engineering companies on upcoming tenders for the development of Lusail City.
The seminar featured presentations about upcoming tenders for the development of the Qatari Diar headquarter (BP-17), the Commercial boulevard (BP-18), Qutaifan Islands financial district(BP-20) as well as residential and commercial towers in Seef Lusail (BP-25).
The seminar brought together more than 250 Qatari companies that were informed by Lusail officials about the date of upcoming tenders as well as qualifying conditions and accreditation standards.
Hamad Abdulmalik, Building Projects Director at Lusail Real Estate Development Company, said the seminar reflects Lusail’s strategic commitment to familiarize Qatari companies with future projects in Lusail City and increase their chances of qualifying for tenders and securing contracts.
“We, at Lusail, welcome bids by Qatari firms who will earn a great deal of experience working on our projects in line with the best international practices. Thus, we encourage them to enter into partnerships with international or local firms in a bid to win contracts for several projects under development at Lusail City,” Abdulmalik said.
Lusail Real Estate Development Company had organised a series of workshop aimed at helping Qatari contracting companies better plan for upcoming tenders.
Previous workshops resulted in an increase in the number of Qatari companies undertaking major projects in partnership with international contracting companies in Lusail City.
Lusail City is one the major projects under development in Qatar in line with international sustainable practices.
Spread over 38 square kilometres, the city will encompass residential and commercial buildings, retail outlets, schools and medical facilities in addition to entertainment and shopping centers.
