Tokyo: The Ministry of Business and Trade has participated in the “Qatar Week: Ferjaan in Tokyo” event, organised by the Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) in Tokyo to celebrate 40-years of relations between Qatar and Japan.
The Ministry has set up a pavilion on the sidelines of the event, which was formally opened on Thursday and will continue until October 1. The pavilion showcases lots of things on the nature of economic relations and activities between Qatar and Japan. The pavilion also presented a documentary film that was produced specifically for this exhibition and translated into a number of languages in order to reach the largest possible segment.
The Ministry’s Investment Promotion Department organised a seminar entitled “Investment in Qatar” that focused on two main areas: Information technology and research and development, and infrastructure projects. More than two hundred people representing major Japanese companies participated in the event and expressed interest in investing in Qatar.
Director of Investment Promotion Department Dr Khalid Alderbesti underlined Qatar’s keenness on increasing cooperation between the two countries in business and trade areas, underscoring the depth of the relations and convergence of the common interests.QNA
